The Coroner's Court here today ordered the body of the late Teoh Beng Hock, who was laid to rest more than three months ago, to be exhumed on Nov 21 so that a second post-mortem on him can be carried out the next day.

A Malaysian court Wednesday ordered the exhumation of the body of an opposition aide who fell to his death from anti-graft offices where he was being questioned, his family's lawyer said.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said today the application to exhume political aide Teoh Beng Hock's remains for a second post-mortem should be allowed in the interest of finding the truth.

Kerk Kim Hock, the coordinator for the family of Teoh Beng Hock, said the family refused to let Thai pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand carry out a second post-mortem this July because they were not pyschologically prepared for it at that time, and also because of the time-consuming procedure of claiming Teoh's body.

Well-known flamboyant Thai pathologist Dr Porntip Rojanasunan told the coroner's court here today that there was an 80 per cent possibility of homicide and 20 per cent chance of suicide in the death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock.

The family members of the deceased political aide Teoh Beng Hock had decided to postpone a psychiatric evaluation scheduled for today as their lawyer was not allowed to accompany them.
