Kuala Krai PAS Area secretary Mohd Fauzi Abdullah has been named as PAS candidate for the Manik Urai state by-election on July 14.

PAS will use the effective methods at the Bukit Gantang by-election in Perak to campaign at the Manik Urai by-election in Kelantan on July 14.

The police have opened an investigation on a DAP leader and two Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders over delivery of speeches of an alleged seditious nature during the ongoing campaign in the Penanti state by-election.

Nominations for the Manik Urai state by-election has been fixed on July 6 and polling on July 14, the Election Commission announced today (28 May).

Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (AKIM) president Hanafi Hamat said the party will contest the Manik Urai state by-election.

It would be appropriate for the Barisan Nasional (BN) to contest the by-election in Manik Urai, Kelantan, as it is to be held following the death of an assemblyman.
