Sin Chew Daily senior reporter Tan Hoon Cheng, who was picked up by the police at her house at Bukit Mertajam under the Internal Security Act Friday night (12 Sept), was sent to Bukit Aman Police Headquarters.

Sin Chew Daily senior reporter Tan Hoon Cheng, detained under ISA since last night, was released by the police this afternoon, and was driven back to her home at Bukit Mertajam.

The National Press Club (NPC) Saturday (13 Sept) called on the government and the police to release Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng who was arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA) Friday night (12 Sept).

On 12 September, Friday, the home ministry detained renowned blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, Sin Chew Daily Penang office senior reporter Tan Hoon Cheng, and Selangor senior executive councillor Teresa Kok, under the Internal Security Act.
