Our Chinese schools

I went back to SJK(C) Ting Hwa in Malacca, my primary school 30 years ago, during the single stream and multiple stream controversy.

It was a small-sized Chinese school at first but the number of students increased as the urban area were expanded and some new residential areas were built over the past 10 years.

PAS' reconciliation has brought a win-win situation to the country's two-line system. On the other hand, there was a chaos again for the recent Perak Assembly sitting. As a result, the sitting was abruptly ended. The people and the country are the losers here.


Is it a man-made calamity?

It was intended to be a happy camping trip. A total of 294 students from different primary schools excitedly crossed the suspension bridge after having supper to return to the camping site. All in a sudden, the bridge collapsed and 22 students fell into the rushing river. As a result, 19 students were saved, one drown and two missing.


The revised National Automotive Policy

The “good feelings” brought by some benefits in the 2010 Budget have been wiped off by the new National Automobile Policy (NAP). The government will continue protecting domestic cars, making the public suffer.
