The grounds of written judgement of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's acquittal on a charge of sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, is not yet ready.

The possibility of the election to fall in the dragon head (March) has been reduced; the dragon body (June) is an opportunity, but if the situation is not good, it might be delayed to the dragon tail (year end).

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan today sent an official letter asking the Attorney-General, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, to file an appeal against Kuala Lumpur High Court's decision on Jan 9 to acquit and discharge Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from a sodomy charge.

Police will get the assistance of explosives experts to facilitate the home-made bomb explosions case in front of the Jalan Duta court on Jan 9, said Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh today.

Mohd Saiful Bukhari's father Azlan Mohd Lazim today made a plea to the Attorney-General to file an appeal against Kuala Lumpur High Court's decision to acquit and discharge opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from a sodomy charge.

A friend of mine has spent years working in China and is hardly interested in what happens in Malaysia. On his recent vacation in Malaysia, he blurted out in shock after reading the verdict of Anwar's sodomy trial on the newspaper: "What! The case has been going on for more than a decade and now that they deliver a verdict?"

If there are really so many swing voters that can determine the country's fate, my advice would be: swing voters tend to be moderate and they do not like grandstanding approaches. They hate also negative campaign tactics. Therefore, please return to the track of rational competition and start a gentleman battle, say no to religious extremism, racial chauvinism and dirty tactics!

After the verdict was delivered, information minister Rais Yatim was quick to point out that the verdict showed judiciary independence in Malaysia.
