The unavoidable problems after the election

Both the MCA and Gerakan have decided not to accept any Cabinet posts. It seems righteous and sorrowful, but just like the suicide of Xiang Yu, a prominent military leader and political figure in the late Qin Dynasty, it is always disputable whether it is an act of a hero, or a coward.

Lost, but not yet defeated

A healthy competition between the two coalition would be a blessing for the country and its people.

Do not lose heart

It was so difficult for me to get out of my bed this morning although I was already wide-awake, quite early in fact in spite of the late night vigil for the final outcome of GE13. I am still trying to absorb the shocking outcome not only of Limbang parliamentary seat but all the rural seats where PKR stood in Sarawak except in Miri, an urban seat, where Dr. Michael Teo stood.

More than just "Chinese tsunami"

The dust has settled on the GE13 outcome in the midst of millions of question marks. A much bigger question mark that comes with it, is whether a "Chinese tsunami" as claimed by the PM has actually taken form in view of the fact that majority of Chinese voters have dumped Barisan Nasional in GE13.

Move on, Malaysia

It is understandable that many people feel dejected, and frustrated. To about half the electorate, this is yet another near miss in their pursuit of a regime change.

Johor into a new political watershed

Lim Kit Siang's southward advance strategy has spawned an unprecedented political tsunami in BN's southern fortress. Not only has MCA flopped pathetically in the state, its big brother Umno is also suffering a major blow.

This is not just a "Chinese tsunami"

Another cause of concern after the election is, would BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak's leadership in Umno be shaken by the narrow victory? Would the conservative forces within the party take the opportunity to force him hand over Umno's and even federal government's leadership baton?

Gains and losses from the election

The result of the 13th general election will bring a far reaching impact to the country.

The strong wind of anti-ruling in Chinese community

Voters have made their choices and what the BN should do now is to analyse the reasons.

Chinese faces uncertain future after bidding farewell to mainstream politics

The Chinese have to face an uncertain environment in the following five years. Would Najib keep his concern and efforts for the Chinese community? Would Umno change its strategy and return to its nationalism line?
