The options

Najib will have to crack his head to put up his new Cabinet line-up.

DAP should join BN: Ka Chuan

Following the crushing defeat of MCA in the 13th General Elections, the party's central committee member Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan today offered four bold proposals on Chinese representation in the new Cabinet, including a proposal for DAP to join the BN government for the sake of the Chinese community.

Be rational

Since we have seen so many differences and contradictions through the election, we should rationally find out the solutions together, instead of letting hatred, confrontation and extreme emotions to continue growing and bring instability to the country.

From rural to urban areas

Voters have the right to vote and the government should serve the people. How could they be labeled as "ungrateful"? Chinese voters voted for the BN in the 1999 and 2004 general elections but this time, the BN lost some votes. The ruling coalition should review the reasons behind it.

The power of representation

Given the humiliating defeat of Chinese parties in BN, there is a strong likelihood that the new Cabinet will be devoid of Chinese representatives.

The unavoidable problems after the election

Both the MCA and Gerakan have decided not to accept any Cabinet posts. It seems righteous and sorrowful, but just like the suicide of Xiang Yu, a prominent military leader and political figure in the late Qin Dynasty, it is always disputable whether it is an act of a hero, or a coward.

Lost, but not yet defeated

A healthy competition between the two coalition would be a blessing for the country and its people.

Do not lose heart

It was so difficult for me to get out of my bed this morning although I was already wide-awake, quite early in fact in spite of the late night vigil for the final outcome of GE13. I am still trying to absorb the shocking outcome not only of Limbang parliamentary seat but all the rural seats where PKR stood in Sarawak except in Miri, an urban seat, where Dr. Michael Teo stood.

More than just "Chinese tsunami"

The dust has settled on the GE13 outcome in the midst of millions of question marks. A much bigger question mark that comes with it, is whether a "Chinese tsunami" as claimed by the PM has actually taken form in view of the fact that majority of Chinese voters have dumped Barisan Nasional in GE13.

Move on, Malaysia

It is understandable that many people feel dejected, and frustrated. To about half the electorate, this is yet another near miss in their pursuit of a regime change.
