PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang welcomes Pas suggestion for cooperation between the two parties.

The only condition and principle was “no implementation of Islamic country and the hudud criminal procedure code,” said Lim Sunday (16 Mar).

He said the election results showed the people's willingness to see the cooperation between DAP and PAS. Therefore, DAP is willing to comply with the situation and review the cooperation model with PAS.

“This cooperation model not only applies in Selangor and Perak as the people have conveyed their will to change and to see a new government beyond religion through the elections. Therefore, the people supported the Opposition regardless who the candidate was. This showed the people's hope on the Opposition,” added Lim.

Lim told Sin Chew Daily that DAP was nothing related to PAS before the elections. But after the general elections, the relationship of the two parties have changed. DAP must face the fact that the party has to cooperate with PAS to form state governments. (Sin Chew Daily)
