KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- The government must identify its priorities in Budget 2013, Former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Musa Hitam said today.
"Politics is heating up and and a national budget is about to be presented. Everybody is expecting the most out of it.
"Hopefully, the government is able to recognise whether the budget is for short-term or long-term," he told reporters when asked on his expectations from Budget 2013.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also Finance Minister, will table Budget 2013 in Parliament on Sept 28.
Musa, the Jury Chairman for the Royal Award for Islamic Finance, was met after announcing the Royal Award recipients today.
The Royal Award, an international award, was spearheaded by the Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre Initiative and was supported by Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia.
