Pemandu to accept public feedback on GTP 2.0

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- The Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) will be conducting a series of open days to enable the public to share their feedback and suggestions on key initiatives which have been planned for the second horizon of the Government Transformation Programme (GTP).

Entitled "Government Transformation Programme (GTP) Roadmap 2.0 Open Days" the events will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, Pemandu said in a statement today.

"Members of the public will be able to review key initiatives which have been planned for GTP Roadmap 2.0 and can look forward to breakout sessions with (Minister in the Prime Minister's Department) Datuk Seri Idris Jala and Lab leaders each of the seven National Key Results Areas (NKRAs) under GTP," it said.

The GTP Roadmap 2.0 was formulated after Pemandu conducted a series of labs in April and May this year across six weeks to identify key issues and new areas of growth opportunities which would be worked on within NKRAs.

Besides continuing some of the initiatives identified for each of the seven NKRAs when it was initially implemented in 2010, it said Roadmap 2.0 would also expand on the success of GTP by focusing on areas which the rakyat clearly seek transformational change.

"This will include simplifying processes of the public services to enhance delivery," it added.

The open day in Kuala Lumpur will be held on July 24 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, while in Kuching it will be held on August 10 at the Pullman Hotel and in Kota Kinabalu it will be held on August 14 at the Sutera Harbour.
