PETALING JAYA, July 9 (Bernama) -- Police found 10 spent bullet shells measuring 9mm at the house of a corporate man after somone wearing a face mask fired randomly at the house in SS19, Subang Jaya, early today.
Subang Jaya district police deputy chief, Supt Tan Ah Chua said the victim and his family members, two guests and three employees were asleep when the incident happened at about 4.45am.
"In our initial investigation, the closed-circuit television camera recording showed someone wearing a face mask firing 10 shots at random, causing damage to two luxury cars, shattered glass windows and gunshot marks on the wall.
"The security guard on duty at the house thought the shots were the sound of firecrackers before realising they were warning shots and immediately contacted the police," he told reporters at the scene.
Tan said police did not dismiss the possibility of the corporate man and his family being victims of a death threat.
"We are investigating the case under Section 8 of the Firearms Act 1971," he said.
