KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Irian Jaya in Indonesia at 1.34 pm today, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said.
It said in a statement that the epicentre of the quake was located 173km northeast of Sorong in Indonesia and 1,669km southeast of Semporna in Sabah.
The quake did not pose any tsunami threat, it added.
