KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the man who claimed that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had sodomised him, lodged a police report today claiming that the received a death threat.

Mohd Saiful lodged the report at the Sentul District Police Headquarters at 12.25pm accompanied by his father Azlan Mohd Lazim and lawyer Zamri Idrus.

Met by reporters, he said that at 11am yesterday while he was in court, he received an e-mail from a stranger which contains threats to his life.

"This is a very serious threat. I'm lodging this report to protect my safety," he said, adding that this was the first time that he received such a threat.

Mohd Saiful also said that someone had been leaving fruits outside his family house in Bandar Utama, Damansara, since the past two days, which he believed was a form of black magic rituals.

Meanwhile, his father Azlan Mohd Lazim said he received around 50 text messages per day for three days from Jan 29 to Feb 1.

"Most of the text messages were meant to provoke and intimidate," he told reporters.
