KUALA LUMPUR (AP) -- A news report says a fishing boat has capsized in eastern Malaysia, leaving a 72-year-old female passenger dead and 11 other people missing.
National news agency Bernama says the boat was carrying 25 passengers when it overturned amid high waves in the sea off Sabah state on Thursday evening.
Bernama reported Friday that 13 passengers survived.
It says a search and rescue operation by marine police and other agencies was underway.
Fishing boats are sometimes used as passenger boats in parts of Malaysia.
