MIRI, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- A 14-year-old boy died allegedly after he was stabbed by a relative at Tudan housing area, about 20km from the city last night.
Miri OCPD ACP Jamaludin Ibrahim, who confirmed the incident, said the victim was identified as Servester Budit who was in his bedroom when the incident took place at midnight last night.
Jamaludin said that the 24-year-old suspect went to Servester's bedroom to demand for the return of his motorcycle key but the victim denied keeping it.
After failing to get the key, the suspect left the bedroom in rage but returned shortly after, armed with a small knife, and started to stab the boy.
Other family members who were awaken by the commotion found Servester lying motionless in a pool of blood on his bed and rushed him to the Miri hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested the suspect within the Tudan area at about 3am.
Jamaludin said police were investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
