KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- The prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, said she was touched by the support shown by Umno members for her husband at the party's general assembly this year.

Rosmah, who followed Najib's inaugural presidential policy speech, said the contents of the speech should be understood and the advice to be heeded by everybody.

"This general assembly, to me, is different compared with those held in previous years, because it is my husband giving the presidential address.

"I'm very happy with the response from delegates and the public," she added.

Meanwhile, Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil described Najib's inaugural presidential speech as great and down to earth.

"The speech has raised the spirit of Umno members, especially Wanita Umno members, to not give up in championing the party struggle," she added.
