Ronnie Liu still not called by MACC or Police

SHAH ALAM: Selangor state executive councillor, Ronnie Liu, said he had yet to be called by the police or the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding allegations that he used his office to have meetings with people linked to illegal business.

"Police have not questioned me yet, neither has the MACC...no one has," he said when asked by reporters here today on the development in the issue.

Last week, Wangsa Maju Member of Parliament, Wee Choo Keong, wrote in his blog weechookeong.wordpress.com that he had received many complaints from the opposition and businessmen in Selangor that the office of an exco member was being used for meetings by people who were said to have links to illegal business and questionable activities.

Liu said both the authorities did not have any basis to call him to provide clarification.

He said he was prepared to be called by the authorities at any time and was not afraid as he had not done anything wrong.

"When we have not done anything what do we have to fear. We have not taken a single cent from the people, even for allocations we have not taken commission," he said.

Liu said if anyone wanted to know where allocations chanelled through him from the state government went they could do so on his blog www.colour-blind.org that listed each allocation chanelled to the people. (Bernama)
