Contrary to PAS earlier expectations of a 2,000 vote margin, unofficial reports indicate PAS candidate Mohd Fauzi Abdullah has won but only by a wafer-thin margin.

UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin had earlier given UMNO's candidate Tuan Aziz Tuan Mat a victory margin of 38 votes.

The Elections Commission has yet to make any announcments. It said earlier that 87.3 percent or 10,736 out of 12,293 have voted by end of polling at 5 p.m. (MySinchew)
