SUBANG JAYA: Blogger Dr Mahathir Mohamad Tuesday launched www.malaysianmirror.com, a new kid on the blog, as the former Prime Minister calls it.

Nothing much is known about the new portal although many have tried to link it to the president of a BN component party. Malaysianmirror editor, Francis Siah, was quick to quash the rumours.

“I don’t know the president of this party and neither does he knows me,” he said without mentioning names.

The news portal is run by a handful of staff and is believed to be backed by deep pockets from Sarawak. The main table at the launch was occupied by Sarawakians except Dr Mahathir and Subang assemblywoman Hannah Yeoh. Siah himself is a veteran journalist from Kuching who last stint was with Malaysiakini. (MySinchew)
