Why Why Bookshop, which is located at Ipoh Parade, offers a simple yet elegant reading environment with its simple interior design and British style decoration.
There are many sections in the bookstore, such as the magazine corner, comic section, children’s library, children’s playground, painting studio, café, gift section and Dream Box, to meet different needs of the customers.
Why Why Bookshop is the first one-stop bookstore in Ipoh. With a wide range of books and magazines, readers may find all kinds of imported magazines, including women’s, fashion, photography, interior design, mobile phone, technology, entertainment and other magazines which are rarely seen in the market.
There are about 80,000 books available in the bookstore. Readers may also pay to spend a whole day reading comics in the Zing Room.
The comfortable sofas, together with English-style furniture and lighting, as well as soft instrumentals, the bookstore offers readers a relaxing environment to read.
Besides, there is a section called “Dream Box” in which those who have a dream may display their creations in the boxes of the shelf. It offers young people an opportunity to start their business at a very low cost as the lowest monthly rental for the boxes is only RM10.
Bookstore owner Huang Guo-Fu told Sin Chew Daily that there are too many traditional bookstores in the market. Thus, he wanted something special that offers his customers a different reading atmosphere.
