MALACCA: It is now again the time to buy tangerine trees for your home decoration.
Other than vermillion orange trees of various sizes, calamondins, kumquats and other tangerine trees of other species are now available in the market.
Gardening business owner Zhang Han Yuan believed that the global economic crisis is the cause of great demand for tangerine trees this year as Chinese believe that tangerine trees is a symbol of good luck.
"Customers wish tangerine trees could bring them good luck for the next whole year," said Zhang.
He said that it is not difficult to take care of tangerine trees. They require watering only once a day and smooth drainage is the key.
"If you take good care of them, you may expect fruiting for three months," he added. (Sin Chew Daily)
