KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek has won the contest for deputy presidency against Ong Ka Chuan in today's MCA elections.

He received 1,115 votes while Ka Chuan obtained 1,001, with a majority of 114 votes.

Meanwhile, Datuk Ong Tee Keat is leading his opponent Chua Jui Meng for the party's top post.

As for the vice presidency, among the eight candidates, Kong Cho Ha, Liow Tiong Lai, Ng Yen Yen and Tan Kok Hong have secured their VP posts.
