16 Sep, Pakatan Says It Again

SIBU: Despite repeated declarations by Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders that that no Sarawak BN Member of Parliament will cross
over to Pakatan Rakyat (PR), officials from PR have again sounded the drum.

Last night, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Supreme Council member from its Kuala Lumpur Headquarters, Badrul Hisham, claimed that there would be crossovers.

Representing PKR national publicity chief Tian Chua at a gathering organised by the Lanang PKR branch here last night, Badrul, like PKR supremo Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, also failed to identify the BN MPs concerned.

Also present at the function were the state PKR chief Dominic Ng, the state DAP chairman Wong Ho Leng, and deputy president of the Sarawak National Party (SNAP) Johnny Wong Sie Lee.

Yesterday, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) senior vice-president Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas said no BN MP from the state would cross over to PR to enable it to form the new government. PBB forms the backbone of Sarawak BN.

Meanwhile, leaders of three other state BN component parties, namely the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP), have also declared that none of their MPs would cross over. (Bernama)
