BENTONG, Apr 17 (MySinchew) -- MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said he wanted to turn Bentong into Kuala Lumpur's back garden, a pristine town with clean air surrounded by nature without the hustle and noise of a large city.

He told Sin Chew Daily he not only wanted to develop Bentong but also wanted the local residents to participate in the country's development, adding that the voters must give bigger mandate to the government so that Bentong could have a brighter tomorrow.

Liow, who recently launched Bentong's Golden Decade, said Bentong not only would have an excellent road transportation network, but also the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) in near future.

"MCA has built a bridge on behalf of the Malaysian government to maintain a close relationship with China, and has set up a One Belt One Road center and workshop to usher in new opportunities in Sino-Malaysian trade.

"Some Bentong businesses are also taking part in this initiative in hope of exporting their products to China," he said.
