Pizzas in the woods, anyone?

KUANTAN (Sin Chew Daily) -- We all love pizzas, but have you tried a pizza created by a Malay artist in a wooded area behind a housing estate in the East Coast?

That alone should inspire many an adventure seeker to check it out.

Strictly speaking, Seni Bidadara Pizza at Taman Cenderawasih, Kuantan, does not even have a proper shopfront or seating area to start with.

All it has is a wood-burning oven improvised with stacked bricks, and a simple ordering counter.

43-year-old Cikgu Arshad started selling pizzas with the hope of luring visitors to appreciate his paintings.

Even as pizza has nothing to do with art in any way, the artist's edible masterpiece has been an unexpected success.

He now needs at least 30kg of dough every day to meet the needs of gluttons.
